April is National Poetry Month and while we may not have a reading challenge for you we do have a fun Poetry contest for you!

๐Ÿ“ข Blackout Poetry Contest! โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ“–

The Dudley Township Library invites you to get creative with blackout poetry! Pick up a discarded book from the library, select any one page, and craft a unique poem or story by blacking out wordsโ€”leaving only the ones that shape your vision.

โœ” Attach your name to the back of your entry.

โœ” Multiple entries per person are welcome!

โœ” Keep it clean! Poems should be Rated G and suitable for all ages.

All submitted poetry will be displayed at the library throughout May, where visitors will vote for their favorite. Get creative, have fun, and let the blackout magic begin!

Sip and Paint

Mark your calendars and reserve your spots early for this fun Easter painting! Join us for a Sip and Paint party at Sacred Grounds Coffee & Nutrition with Lynnies Nest by Erica Nordling, Hugoton, KS. $35 class fee includes an 11×14 canvas and all painting supplies. Coffee Shop refreshments will be available for purchase. Please RSVP early to save a class. We need a minimum of 8 paid students to make the event. Sign up and pay at the library.

Wee Wigglers is a fun class for ages lap-sit (with an adult accompanying) to age 5, where youngsters come to play, make crafts, read stories, learn letters, shapes, numbers, and much more.

This free program is offered at the Dudley Township (Satanta) Library every Wednesday morning (unless otherwise posted) from 11 to noon.
