Ronald McDonald House Charities Care Kits

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City keep families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need. At their three Houses adjacent to Children’s Mercy Hospital and the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, they offer places of respite where families can rally around and support one another. While they are near Children’s Mercy downtown, they serve all pediatric hospitals in Kansas City.

On any given night, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City (RMHC-KC) serves 91 families. Since 1981, our Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Room provided comfort and care to more than 102,000 families. The estimated cost to stay one night in the facility is $100.

The Ronald McDonald House is an indispensable and much appreciated resource for families of sick children in the Kansas City area, the Wood family can attest that! Housing and resources are free for the families and patients, which as anyone can imagine is a great relief.

We can help and do our part to show the RMHC and its families some love by building Care Kits that help provide families with the items they need the most!

We will be putting together two kinds of kits (Quick meal and Breakfast) at our May After School Special on Tuesday, May 7th at the Satanta Community Building. This project was started by local 4-Her Clayton Kunselman as part of his Civic Engagement project, and he is actively seeking donations to make these kits possible.

Sharing your time, talent and financial support provides hope for families facing a medical crisis. Please help us keep families close during their time of need. Donations can be dropped off at the Dudley Township Library in Satanta during business hours. Other ways to donate could be through their Amazon Wish List included below.
